Fulkopir porota/ Cauliflower Paratha

Cauliflower/ Fulkopi is one of the most popular vegetables that enter our meals in the winters. Various delectable recipes can be found using cauliflowers as the main ingredient. Winters have always been the best time of the year to give a free reign to our gastronomical delights. Paratha and puris of different varieties has been a staple for any traditional Indian breakfast. Best thing about this recipe is that it you can have it with curd or pickle, saving you the trouble of cooking an elaborate meal. Ingredients

  • Cauliflours
  • Salt
  • Coriander leaves
  • Green chilies
  • Pepper Powder
  • Roasted Cumin & roasted red chili powder
  • Flour
  • Oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Onion & Ginger (optional)

Preparation

  • Cut the cauliflowers in small pieces and boil them well
  • Knead the flour. Before kneading add salt and oil to the flour. You may mix wheat flour and flour together. Keep aside
  • Add salt, chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chilies, roasted cumin & roasted red chili powder, and lemon juice to the boiled and mashed cauliflower and mix well
  • If you are adding onion and ginger they need to be very finely chopped, and added at this stage.
  • Make small balls of the kneaded flour and fill them up with the mixture and seal properly
  • Roll them out in round shape and fry them
  • Just be careful while rolling them up in round shapes that these don’t break
  • Serve hot. Tastes good with ketchup or citantro chutney.
