Methi shaker porota/ Fenugreek leaves Paratha

Methi is also commonly called Fenugreek. Seeds and leaves of this plant are widely used in various recipes. During the winter months the leaves of this plant are used to prepare various delicious recipes.  One of the most popular dishes that is prepared using this ingredient is Methi Paratha. Whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner, this recipe is sure to warm the heart in the chilling weather of winter season. It can be great tiffin for your kids to be packed and sent to school.

Ingredients

  • Methi Shaak/ Fenugreek leaves
  • Flour and Wheat Flour in equal proportions
  • Ginger
  • Green chilies
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Water for making the dough

Preparation

  • Wash the fenugreek leaves and dry them properly
  • Now mix these with flour & wheat flour
  • Add finely chopped ginger and green chilies to the flour
  • Knead the flour (with water as required) to form a dough
  • Make small balls out of this and roll out.
  • Dry Roast the flat breads on both sides.
  • Now shallow fry in heated oil.
  • Serve with a curry or condiment of choice.
