Crispy Fried Prawn with Hot Garlic Sauce
Sudden guests at home? Or you want to treat your family to a special snack in the weekend? This recipe would come to your rescue if you have prawns in your freezer. This recipe can be made with ingredients easily available in all kitchen – but the end product would be catchy and rewarding.
Ingredients:
- Prawns (8-10)
- Garlic paste (6/8 pods)
- Corn flakes (crushed)
- Flour
- Ajinomoto (a pinch – this is optional – I mostly leave it out while cooking at home)
- Egg white (2 eggs) – To separate yolk from whites, pass the broken eggs through a funnel, the white shall pass through while the yolk being heavier shall remain and you can easily separate the two.
- Lemon juice
- Pepper powder
- Chilli powder
- Oil
Preparation:
- Marinate the prawns with all the ingredients mentioned above, except the corn flakes and keep for a while
- Roll the prawns in corn flakes tightly and deep fry
- Serve with hot garlic sauce as a dip
For Garlic sauce
Ingredients:
- Garlic (8/10 pods, chopped fine)
- Tomato sauce
- Chilli powder
- Salt
- White oil
Preparation:
- Heat oil
- Add chopped garlic and fry
- Add tomato sauce, chilli powder and salt
- Bring to a boil and turn flame off
- The sauce is ready to serve
