Kasoori-Lehsuni Dal
This is a recipe I have learnt from my friend.
Ingredients –
- Arhar Dal
- Masoor dal/ Chana Dal
- Turmeric powder
- Hing
- onion
- Tomato
- Ghee
- Cumin seeds
- Garlic
- chilies
Preparation
- Pressure cook 1/2 cup arhar dal, 1/2 cup masoor dal with haldi, a pinch of hing, salt and one large onion and tomato chopped.
- You can use only arhar or only masoor or only chana daal also.
- Mash the boiled dal, add a little water, add kasuri methi, chopped coriander and bring to a boil.
- In a tadka pan, heat ghee, add cumin seeds,and as they splutter, add chopped garlic.
- When the garlic turns light brown, add whole red chillies and hing.
- Pour the tadka over the dal.
- Garnish with fresh chopped coriander and chopped green chillies.
