Bandhakofir Kofta/ Cabbage Dumpling

This is a versatile recipe that can be served as starter to guests or can be put in a gravy to serve as accompaniment. The dish can be made very easily with simple ingredients and is not too time consuming. However, the efforts given do not determine the taste factor – so you can win smiles easily without much ado.

Ingredients —
• Cabbage (half a cabbage)
• Potatoes (1 large or two medium)
• Rice flour (2/3 tsp)
• Gram flour (Besan) 4 tsp.
• Salt to taste
• Ginger paste (2 tsp.)
• Green chillies to taste
• Onions chopped finely
• Oil
• Rice flour

Preparation –
• Boil the cabbage and the potatoes. Drain the water properly.
• Mash these and knead together with ginger paste, onion, green chilies, salt, chili powder, small amount of rice flour and gram flour
• Shape these into small balls
• Deep fry these and serve with sauce

Note: You may also add the koftas in a gravy of your choice and serve as an accompaniment during a meal.
