Chicken Pakoda by Sohini (Rima) Chatterjee

In Sohini’s words — This version of Chicken Pakoda is entirely my own recipe. It is a kind of chicken fry, Indian style.

 

Sohini Chatterjee – Teacher

Ingredients:

  • Chicken, cut into small pieces
  • Turmeric
  • Yoghurt / Dahi
  • Ginger paste
  • Chopped onion
  • Chopped chillies
  • Garam masala
  • Chaat masala
  • Corn flour
  • Eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry

Method:

  • Boil the chicken pieces with salt and turmeric till cooked.
  • Mash the chicken pieces roughly, and add a little dahi, salt, ginger paste, chopped onion, chopped chillies, garam masala powder, chaat masala, and corn flour.
  • Add eggs and mix everything well.
  • Make small balls or disks as you like and fry till golden brown.
