Masaledar Fish Fry

Rohu, Bhetki (Barramunda), Pomfret, Halibut, Walleye Pike are best suited for this recipe. Masaledar Fish Fry is a spicy recipe that could be a snack with your favourite beverage (hot or cold) or could be had with rice and dal on the side.

Ingredients:

  • Any of the fishes mentioned above, cut into big chunks
  • Onion paste
  • Ginger-garlic paste
  • Chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Garam masala powder
  • Lemon juice
  • Bread crumbs / corn flour
  • Salt
  • Oil to fry

Method:

  • Wash the fish.
  • Marinate the fish pieces with salt, lemon juice, onion paste, ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, cumin powder, and coriander powder for 2-3 hours.
  • Now coat the marinated fish pieces with bread crumbs of corn flour.
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Deep fry the fish pieces.
  • Serve with onion rings/ salad and sauce.
