Mushroom And Prawn With cheese

Mushroom and Prawn with cheese is a recipe curated from my mother-in-law who is a great cook. I have always enjoyed cooking this and I am sure you will too!  You may serve it on toast for everyday snacking or even on crackers as cocktail accompaniment or for wooing guests in your wine and cheese party! The best part of the recipe is that it needs very few ingredients and very less cooking time.

Ingredients

  • Mushroom
  • Prawns/ Shrimp
  • White Oil/ Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper powder
  • Corn-flour
  • Cilantro
  • Sugar
  • Grated Cheese
  • Bacon (fried in butter and sliced finely) — optional

Preparation

  • Heat oil/ butter in a pan
  • Add mushroom and Prawns/ Shrimp and cook it covered in a low heat
  • Add a little salt before putting on the lid
  • Once the Prawns/ Shrimp is cooked add a little pepper powder and corn-flour milk (corn-flour added to water and stirred well to avoid lumps).
  • While it boils, add cilantro , sugar and a dash of butter
  • Before putting off the oven, add some grated cheese and wait it to melt a little and for the mushroom and shrimps to absorb the cheesy flavour.
  • If adding bacon, toss it in at this stage and gently mix in.

Serve on toast, or even on crackers.
