Tuna Fish Chop
Tuna Fish Chop is a very simple fish chop recipe — another English recipe which the Bengali people have adapted according to their taste. Be it a rainy evening with your family, or a get together with friends, this would be a hit!
Ingredients:
- Canned Tuna (drained)
- Boiled potato
- Chopped onion
- Turmeric powder/Haldi
- Ginger paste/powder
- Garlic paste/powder
- Shaan Fried Fish Masala (or any other brand’s fried fish masala – quantity as per taste)
- Garam Masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Egg
- Bread crumbs
Method:
- Drained the canned tuna and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a heavy bottom vessel and fry onions till caramelized.
- Add Garlic and ginger paste and sauté for some time.
- Add the tuna and turmeric powder, salt and Shaan masala and cook till all the water from tuna has dried up.
- Then add the garam masala powder and sugar.
- Mash the potatoes and add it to the fish mixture and sauté for some more time and remove from heat.
- Make round or any shape balls, dip in the egg wash and roll in bread crumbs.
- Deep fry in hot oil.
- Serve with any dips or sauce (Maggie Hot & Sweet Chilly sauce is a hit with this chop in my family).
