Afghani chicken by Sohini & Abhrajit
This rich and fragrant chicken tastes great with roti or parathas. The recipe is from Sohini and Abhrajit’s kitchen. Sohini Chatterjee is a teacher and Abhrajit is an Engineer.
Ingredients:

Chicken

Onion paste

Ginger paste

Garlic paste

Chilli powder
-
Coriander powder
-
Clove
-
Cardamom powder
-
Yogurt
-
Oil
-
Ghee
-
Salt (to taste)
Method:

Marinate the chicken overnight with onion, garlic paste and salt.

Heat oil in a wok.

Add onion, garlic, chilli powder

Add the chicken next
-
Keep frying in medium heat till oil starts separating from the masala

Add salt, coriander powder and ginger paste and keep cooking.

Now add the whole cloves and cardamom powder

Cook for a while, stirring frequently

Beat the yogurt and add it next

Mix well and cook till the chicken is done

Add ghee if using and serve
