Tomato egg-drop soup

This soup is very easy to make, and gives a warmth and tang which makes it ideal for winter.

Ingredients:

  • Tomato (diced into big chunks)
  • Egg
  • Tomato ketchup
  • Onions
  • Corn-flour
  • Soya sauce
  • Pepper powder
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Butter

Preparation:

  • Fry chopped onions in butter
  • Add salt and sugar
  • Add tomato chunks
  • Add a little tomato ketchup
  • Sauté well and take it off the flame
  • Blend into puree in a blender
  • Heat butter in a pan
  • Pour the mixture
  • Add a little corn-flour to thicken
  • Add a dash of soya sauce and pepper powder
  • Bring to a boil and turn the flame off
  • Beat the egg with salt and pepper powder
  • Pour the egg mixture in the soup with a spoon, a little bit at a time, from an 8/10 inch height and rapidly stir and mix it
