Chatpata Paneer

Paneer, many people feel, by nature has no taste. But his recipe will change that perception! Punch a zingy and spicy taste into paneer. It can be enjoyed as a snack or even a side dish for lunch or dinner; with paratha, roti or pulao/Indian fried rice. The yoghurt along with all the ingredients lend the dish a tangy taste. Cashew paste provides the dish a richness, which along with the softness of the paneer forms a scrumptious combination. This is what makes it great as a snack and side-dish. Ingredients – 

  • Paneer (about a dozen pieces) 
  • 6-7 tablespoon of ghee
  • 3-4 teaspoon of chopped garlic
  • 4 tablespoon of browned onion paste
  • A bowl curd
  • 3 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 3 teaspoon of roasted kaju paste
  • 1 teaspoon of Kashmiri mirch powder
  • salt according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of roasted jeera powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of kasuri methi
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoon of cream
  • 3-4 teaspoon of coriander leaves

Method of Preparation –

  • Sauté garlic in heated oil until it becomes golden brown.
  • Next add the browned onion paste along with the curd and mix it well.
  • Next coriander powder, kaju paste and Kashmriri mirch powder are to be added and stir to mix it all up.
  • Finally add in the paneer pieces followed by jeera powder, kasoori methi, black pepper powder as well as lemon juice. Mix all of this.
  • Add the cream and stir it well.
  • Serve it hot after garnishing with coriander leaves.
