Kadai Paneer

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of cubed (500 gm) paneer
  • 3 to 4 slit green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger paste
  • ½ a cup of hung curd
  • 1/4 cup of oil about 60 gm
  • 2 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 2 pieces of bay leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon of powdered red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of powdered coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

 

Preparation Method:

  • Start by frying the paneer cubes till they turn light brown
  • Add in cumin seeds and the bay leaves to heated oil in another pan.
  • As soon as the seeds start to splutter, mix in the ginger paste. Continue to sauté till it becomes light brown.
  • Then mix in curd, garam masala, salt, turmeric, red pepper and the coriander powder. Continue to stir till the oil separates.
  • Add the lightly fried paneer along with green chillies
  • Over a high heat sauté all of it till they are well mixed.
  • Garnish with the coriander leaves and serve it hot.
