Niramish Dim-er Dalna (Paneer-Chhaatu diye)

Though the name suggests egg curry, this is an absolutely vegetarian recipe, which I created with Paneer and sattu or gramflour. The taste whenever I have cooked this has been much appreciated and guests have always asked for the recipe. So here it goes-

Ingredients-
• Paneer
• Flour
• Salt
• Oil
• Gramflour
• Potatoes
• Bay leaves
• Sugar
• Turmeric powder
• Cashew, dried date & poppy seeds paste
• Coriander leaves
• Tomatoes
• Ginger paste & cumin paste

Preparation –
• Knead the paneer tightly with flour, salt, sugar and white oil
• Knead the gramflour with salt sugar chilli powder and white oil
• Prepare paneer and gramflower balls separately
• Insert small balls of the gramflour mixture inside paneer balls
• Deep fry these balls
• You can fry the cubed potatoes
• Heat oil in a fry pan and temper with bay leaves and cumin seeds
• Add salt, ginger paste,sugar, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin paste
• Add diced tomatoes
• Sauté and add water
• Add the cashew- poppyseeds paste
• Stir well and sprinkle garam masala powder
• Add potatoes if you want
• Add the paneer balls
• Cover and cook for a while
• Garnish with ginger juliennes and chopped coriander
