Cumin Flavoured Meat (Mutton or Chicken)
When one gets a wee bit bored with eating and cooking regular meat curry and the quintessential favourites of the household; one tends to make certain trails and experimentations in their kitchen. The cumin flavoured chicken is the result of one such experimentation of a friend who then kindly shared. I have found people appreciating it (fortunately!) So here I am sharing it with you all since sharing multiples the joy in multitude. In turn, it would be much appreciated if you shared your feedback when you try this out.
Ingredients:
- Meat
- Ginger paste
- Garlic paste
- Soya sauce
- Salt (take care with the quantity since the soya sauce used already has salt in it)
- Whole garam masala
- Turmeric powder
- Chilli powder
- Roasted cumin powder
- Cooking Oil
Preparation:
- Marinate the meat with Garlic Paste, little bit of Soya Sauce and salt for at least 3/4 hours (preferably overnight)
- Pressure cook the meat till done.
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add whole garam masala (coarsely crushed).
- Then add Ginger paste, Turmeric powder and Chilli Powder and fry
- Add the meat and keep stirring
- Add a little of water (preferably warm water)
- Add a dash roasted Cumin Powder
- Keep cooking till oil releases and dish becomes dry.
- Adjust seasoning an then remove from heat to serve with any Indian flatbread of your choice.
