Garlic pasta with Prawns

There are days when I don’t want to have the normal meal planned out and look for something different. Pastas have always been kind of easy to make and the taste too have been a favourite. I decided to twist and make it with shrimps/prawns. Turned out very well. Here’s the recipe for you all.

INGREDIENTS
• 8 ounces fusili (spiral) pasta
• 6 tbsp of olive oil
• 2 cloves garlic, sliced
• 8 pieces of tiger prawns that have been peeled and deveined
• 1/2 a cup of grated Parmesan cheese that has been divided
• 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley

Method :
• Boil a large pot of water that has been seasoned with a little bit of salt. Add the pasta and cook for around 8 to 10 minutes or till they become al dente. Drain the past and return it to the pot.
• In a large heavy skillet heat some oil over a medium heat. Add garlic in the heated oil and sauté for around 5 minutes. Next add the prawns and cook them on each side for 5 minutes. Remove the prawns and set them aside. Discard of the fried garlic slices.
• Pour the oil over pasta that has been kept in the pot and evenly coat by tossing the pasta. Sprinkle about 3/4th portion of Parmesan cheese onto pasta and evenly distribute it by stirring gently. Transfer this into a serving dish. Arrange the fried prawns on top and finish by sprinkling the remaining portion of Parmesan cheese and parsley.
