Mixed Dal With Moong, Arhar, Chhola (Chana)
Ingredients
- 500gms of moong daal,
- 100gms tuvar/arhar daal
- 100 gms of chholar (chana) daal
- hing/ asofoetida
- salt,
- bayleaves,
- turmeric powder,
- cumin seeds.
Preparation
- Wash and soak together 500gms of moong daal, 100gms tuvar/arhar daal, and 100 gms of chholar (chana) daal.
- Boil the soaked daal with hing, salt, bayleaves, turmeric powder, cumin seeds.
- Heat oil in a pan, add ghee to it. Add cumin seeds, finely chopped ginger, chopped/slit green chillies, chilly powder, cumin powder, salt and sugar to taste, and lots of chopped tomatoes.
- Cook well till the spices are cooked and the tomatoes form a pulp.
- Add the boiled daal.
- Cook for a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Add chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve.
