Mach er pudding (Fish pudding)
Ingredients:
- Pona machh (Carp) (pieces from the belly portion)
 - Onion (chopped)
 - Onion-ginger-garlic paste
 - Chilli powder
 - Turmeric powder
 - Salt
 - Sugar
 - Egg (yolk only)
 - Butter
 
Preparation:
- Boil the fish pieces, de-bone and mash
 - Heat oil and fry chopped onion
 - Add all the pastes and powdered spices and fry the masala well
 - Add fish, salt and sugar and fry well
 - Take it off flame and bring to room temperature
 - Grease an oven-proof pan with butter and smear the mixture evenly
 - Beat the egg yolk and pour it from top
 - Cook in the microwave
 - Cut into pieces when cooked and serve with sauce and salad
