Tok-Jhaal-Mishti Koi /Climbing Perch cooked in spicy gravy
This is a recipe which is cooked best with fresh and big sized Koi fish or Climbing Perches. Through these are fishes with a lot of bones, yet being sweet water fish; the Climbing Perches or the Koi s are absolutely delicious.
Ingredients –
- Koi/ Climbing Perches
 - Onion
 - salt
 - Sweet Curd/ Mishti Doi
 - Mustard Paste
 - Tamarind Paste
 - Turmeric
 - Green chili paste
 
Procedure –
- Slit the fishes diagonally on both sides and lightly fry them
 - Fry onion paste, turmeric and mishti doi ( about one dinner spoon for 6-8 fish, properly frisked) in that oil
 - Saute with salt, Green chili paste. Add the Mustard paste. Stir well
 - Add the fried fish
 - Add the Tamarind paste
 - Once it starts boiling, put the oven off.
