Bhetki machher la-jawab/ Amazing Barramundi

This simple, yet delicious Bhetki recipe is fancy enough to make any occasion special. I cook this dish any time I want a delectable change in the daily menu. It is that simple to cook.

Ingredients:

  • Bhekti fish

  • Black pepper powder

  • Lemon juice

  • Cornflour

  • Onions (chopped)

  • Garlic (chopped)

  • Green chillies (chopped)

  • Ginger (chopped)

  • Capsicum (chopped)

  • Carrot (chopped)

  • Turmeric powder

  • Cumin powder

  • Coriander powder

  • Chilli sauce

  • Tomato sauce

  • Salt

  • Oil

Method:

  • Marinade the fish pieces with pepper powder, lemon juice, salt and cornflour for an hour

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the fishes

  • Keep aside

  • Add chopped onions, garlic, green chilies, ginger and fry

  • Now add the carrot and capsicum and keep frying

  • Next add the turmeric, cumin and coriander powder

  • When the masala is cooked, add the tomato and chilli sauce and mix well

  • Add the fish pieces

  • Pour a little water and let it cook

  • When the fish is well cooked, sprinkle a little cornflour and take the dish off the flame to serve.
