Kabli (Garbanzo Beans) Kebab by Bandana Biswas

There are some families where being a foodie comes naturally. Mostly because the family can boast of great cooks — my friend Arunima’s family is one such. Her mom, Ms. Bandana Biswas, is not only only a great cook, but a spontaneous fountain of fun and laughter — someone everyone enjoys spending time with. Apart from their culinary skills, the mother-daughter duo is also hugely admired for their sartorial senses; and I personally envy their collection of Dhakai Jamdani Sarees. Thank you Kakima for sharing your recipes with BitebyByte.

Thank you Arunima for painstakingly penning the recipes for us.

Ingredients:

1. Kabli Channa soaked over night (200 g)  and boiled with salt,  pepper and garlic cloves. Make a paste in a mixer grinder.
2. 1 onion chopped finely
3. Garlic cloves (4-5)
4. Green chillies chopped
5. Salt
6. Pepper
7. Oil
8. Chat masala
Procedure:
1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil and add onions,  garlic and chopped green chilies in it.  Cook. Add the Kabli Chana mix. Reduce the water content and allow it to cool.
2. Make kebabs out of it and shallow fry.
5. Add chat masala and serve with dip or chutney of your choice.
