Sheesh Tauk

 

Sheesh Tauk is another recipe from the Middle Eastern kitchen. This will be a favourite among all kebab lovers. It is a delectable kebab that is skewered then grilled. The secret behind the kebabs being delicious and soft lie in the humble ingredients that are used to marinate the chicken pieces as well as the marinating time. So go ahead and use this easy recipe to prepare these amazing mouth-watering kebabs and impress your family and friends.

 

Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken breast cut into small pieces
  • Roasted Cinnamon (powdered)
  • Roasted Kebab Chini (powdered)
  • Fresh Garlic paste
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper Powder
  • Parsley leaves (chopped)
  • Olive Oil

Preparation:

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with powdered roasted cinnamon, powdered roasted kebab chini, fresh garlic paste, lemon juice, salt and black pepper powder.
  2. Leave it in the fridge overnight
  3. Bring up to room temperature and add a little chopped parsley leaves before skewering the kebabs.
  4. Next put the marinated chicken pieces on skewers and brush with a little Olive oil before placing the skewers on the grill.
  5. Keep turning the skewers every 4 to 5 minutes so that the chicken kebabs do not get burnt.
  6. Continue to cook till the kebabs are well done but not overcooked.
  7. Serve it with a salad of your choice, Baba ghanoush or Hummus.

 

Tips: Do not use large quantities of the spices to marinate chicken pieces.
